December 2017 – NCHA Futurity

A special thank you to Paul Hansma, Tom Dvorak and the entire team at Paul Hansma Cutting Horses for getting our mare Angel In My Pocket (Grace) ready to show in the NCHA Futurity yesterday. It was a miracle that this wonderful Metallic Cat mare ever came to be. This was one of the last two babies that Amy Bell foaled out before she passed away in May, 2014. We love you “Grace” and we love you Amy.

Angel In My Pocket is an amazing story about how she “came to be born” in the first place. Her mother, Zacks Four Wood, coliced and had to be put down early in breeding season in 2013. The vets harvested her ovaries, Amy put them in an ice chest, and then she drove them to Texas A&M vet school. The staff at A&M got five oocytes, bred them to Metallic Cat, one recipient mare stuck. Eleven months later “Grace” was born (March 2014). Two months later Amy passed away. Now three years later “Grace” is entered in the NCHA cutting futurity which starts Nov 15th.

November 2017 – Idaho Reined Cow Horse Futurity

This Fence Run won them the Intermediate Open Championship and tied them for Reserve Champions in the Open Futurity with a composite score of 584.5 on 4 runs. The horse is owned by Sharon Fraser.

Kalpowar Quarter Horses and Amy Bell were the breeders of this wonderful colt. He is out of our great mare Reylena Moon by Dual Rey.  Congratulations to Kalahari Moonshine, Brady Weaver and Sharon Fraser on this great win at the Idaho Reined Cowhorse Association Futurity!
